Wool for Whiskers

Hi, I’m Makenzie — a veterinarian here in Colorado, and I’m so excited to introduce you to my new passion project: Wool for Whiskers. I’ve always loved natural fibers, as well as the artistry and uniqueness of hand-dyed yarn. Wool for Whiskers is my way of bringing those passions together by creating thoughtfully hand-dyed yarn using ethically sourced, mulesing-free fibers.

This business is about more than yarn. As a veterinarian, I’ve seen firsthand how unexpected veterinary expenses can put pet owners in an incredibly difficult position. That’s why 10% of every sale will go toward an angel fund to help pet owners who are struggling to afford unexpected veterinary care for their beloved pets. Every skein of yarn you purchase helps support a little bit of creativity, compassion, and—hopefully—a few more happy, healthy whiskers.
